As per the Trivandrum Airport Directors message recently, there are 15 airlines operating from Trivandrum airport and 5 more have sought permission to operate from here. As per his statement, passenger traffic through Trivandrum airport alone has touched 3 million.
According to a recent report released by IATA, passenger traffic is expected to grow by 31% by 2017 which means an increase of over 930 million passengers worldwide. This increase will result in the creation of thousands of new jobs in the airline industry and at airports.
