Global Distribution Systems (GDS) is a worldwide computerized network used as a single point of access for reserving airline seats, hotel rooms, car rentals and other travel related items by travel agents and large corporations.

Some of the leading GDS available for making airline, hotel and car hire bookings are Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre, & Worldspan. They are owned and operated as joint ventures by major airlines, hotel groups and car rental companies.
